Description

The Psychiatry Operations at Kungälv Hospital consists of inpatient wards, a psychiatric emergency department, psychiatric outpatient clinics, child psychiatric clinics, and specialized clinics for patients with eating disorders and emotional instability. Ward 9 is an inpatient ward focused on psychosis and general psychiatry, and individuals with eating disorders are also cared for here. The ward has 12 beds and two beds for user-controlled admissions. Ward 10 is an inpatient ward focused on addiction and general psychiatry, with 12 beds.

We are looking for you who want to work with inpatient care and are also interested in working with the target group described above. We are committed to continuously developing and evaluating psychiatric care and would like you to be interested in participating in ongoing improvement work.

Responsibilities

As a caregiver, you are responsible for psychiatric nursing. The patient's care plan is the guiding document, and the patient must be involved in its creation. The care plan is then continuously evaluated throughout the entire care period. We work with shared decision-making, and the care is person-centered. Patients and relatives should be involved in the care. We also have a responsibility to provide support and information to minor children as well as to support patients in their parental role. The team around the patient includes not only nurses but also caregivers and doctors.

The Psychiatry Operations at Kungälv Hospital is looking for assistant nurses and caregivers for the summer of 2025 within psychiatry, wards 9 and 10, as well as the psychiatric emergency department. We offer a fun, stimulating, responsible, and exciting job where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills together with new colleagues. During weeks 26–33, ward 10 will close and merge with ward 9. The number of beds will then increase in ward 9 to 20 + 2 user-controlled beds.

Qualifications

You are a trained assistant nurse/caregiver.

If you are a student in the nursing program, you need to have completed semester 3 or semester 4 depending on your educational program.

If you are a student in the medical program, you need to have completed semester 5 or semester 6 depending on your educational program.
